Houlakia Beach

4km from Mykonos Town at the north coast of the island. Houlakia Bay overlooks strait separating Mykonos from nearby Tinos Island, and is well known for the round pebbles and rocks lining its shores.

Kalafatis Beach

It is located 13km from Mykonos Town. Is one of the biggest and less frequented beaches of Mykonos, since there are only few bus services to it, and access is possible only via Ano Mera.

Super Paradise Beach

Located 6km and southeast of Mykonos Town. It’s the second most famous beach on the island. Super Paradise beach is the most alternative and anti-conformist beach on the island. Panormos Beach

Located 4.5km from Mykonos Town on the northern coast of Mykonos. This unique beach is suitable for swimming with a fascinating view over the bay. This is the only beach where you can find a pet, pot-bellied pig roaming among the tourist.

Agios Sostis Beach

It is located about 7km from Mykonos Town, located north of the island. This large sandy beach is of the nicest in Mykonos. Unspoiled freedom, this clothing-optional beach is fairly undeveloped without amenities such as umbrellas and sun beds.

Megali Ammos

This is the nearest beach to Mykonos Town, just a ten minutes walk south along the west coast on the way to Ornos. Due to strong northerly winds the beach has no sun beds and umbrellas but is suitable for windsurfing, undersea fishing and horse riding from a horse school. A few steps from the water edge you can find a small Greek taverna. The beach is also a good place to talk a nice walk and find shells and stones. The beach is accessible by foot.

Lia Beach

The last of the southern beaches that you can go by car. Its a small, peaceful beach made up of sand, pebbles and stones. Lia beach is a perfect place to escape the crowds.

Korfos Beach

It is located about 2.5km from Mykonos Town, just before Ornos Beach. The beach is not so frequented because of its orientation (facing north) and its proximity to the island‘s sea water desalinations.

Ornos Beach

It is located about 3km south from Mykonos Town. It’s considered as one of the best and organized beaches of Mykonos. Ornos is a popular family-friendly beach where you can find a relaxing atmosphere, although it can become very crowded.

Kapari Beach

This is a little gem of beach just beyond Agios Ioannis. A perfect spot to escape from the large organized beaches and to enjoy your swim unnoticed.
The beach with its thin sand and post-stamp size, hidden and surrounded by rocks, without sun beds, umbrellas and tavernas. You need to bring your own food and drinks. The beach is accessible on foot or with a motorbike, but only up to a point.
Then you need to climb down the twenty-meter (70 foot) rocky pathway.

Kalo Livadi

10km from Mykonos Town, located between Elia and Kalafatis, is one of the biggest, most beautiful and popular beach overlooking the Bay of Livadi, and is one of the most recent areas of Mykonos to be developed with hotel and bungalow accommodation.

Agia Anna Beach – Kalafatis

Small beach, on the right of Kalafatis, with fine sand. Because of its location and a bamboo fence this beach is protected from both the north and the south winds. It is preferred especially by many of those who know the island well, and they want their peace of mind. The beach may seem like a private beach because it’s most used by the hotel guests, but it’s a public beach.

North beach located in Panormos Bay with amazing water and sand. This is the largest of all the undeveloped beaches in Mykonos. The crystal clear waters and the unique landscape (sand and rocks) really deserve a visit.

Elia Beach

9km from Mykonos town on the beautiful southern coast is the fantastic beach of sand and pebbles and one of the longest and finest beaches of Mykonos. The location provides a bit of protection, one of the best on a very windy day when the north wind is blowing.

Agrari Beach

8km southeast of Mykonos Town, is this idyllic cove situated between Super Paradise and Elia Beach. The beach has lovely foliage surrounding the area and is one of the beach stops for caiques (taxi boats) departing from both Mykonos Town and Platis Gialos.

Agios Stefanos

3km northwest of Mykonos Town just around the corner of the new port Tourlos. Many hotels in this area supply a wide range of accommodations with the beach itself offering a good selection of restaurants and cafes.

Agios Ioannis

4km southwest of Mykonos Town, on the peninsula overlooking Delos, this area has an excellent sandy beach, a relaxed atmosphere and superb views of nearby Delos. Famous for the location where the movie “Shirley Valentine” was filmed.

Paradise Beach

It is located on the south of the island, 6km from Mykonos Town. It’s the most famous en well known, organized beach of the island, with its crystal water, sandy beach, and known for its special events.

Paraga Beach

It is situated 6km south from Mykonos Town, between Platis Gialos and Paradise.
Paraga offers outstanding swimming, music and food. This beach is very popular with the locals as well as the tourists. It’s the perfect beach to relax until the afternoon until the beach bar starts its program.

Psarou Beach

4km from Mykonos Town located on the southwest of the island. This attractive little beach offers protected, clear, tranquil waters at the bottom of dramatic rocky hill sides, located a short walking distance to the right of Platis Gialos Beach.

Agrari Beach

Agrari is not a throbbing party beach and attracts a small gay crowd who want less of a party scene, but there is a beach bar that can turn into an impromptu party occasionally or where you can relax in the shade at a table under the trees to get a break from the summer sun.

A beautiful beach, most isolated, for those who do not love the crowds. One of the least organized beaches and nearly all activities but night swimming stops after sunset.

There is no public bus service available, only reachable by car or bike rental or the taxi boat.

Elia Beach

9km from Mykonos town on the beautiful southern coast is the fantastic beach of sand and pebbles and one of the longest and finest beaches of Mykonos. The location provides a bit of protection, one of the best on a very windy day when the north wind is blowing.
There are several places to eat, drink or relax out of the summer sun with beach service also available. It features a relaxing environment and outstanding sea views, organized with sun beds and umbrellas. Elia is also characterized as “gay friendly beach”.

It is accessible by public bus from Mykonos Town and by taxi boat from Platis Gialos. Elia is the last stop for the boats/caiques leaving from or returning to Platis Gialos or Ornos Beach.

Fokos - Mersini Beaches

They are situated north of Mykonos in the bay of Myrsini. Here you will find a beautiful peaceful sandy beach. Fokos Beach is one of the nicest beaches on Mykonos Island, a big sand beach, with a place for nudists as well.

The sea at these pebbles is a good place to snorkel. There are no facilities on the beach like sun beds and umbrellas but there is one summer taverna, which is actually one of the best tavernas of the whole of Mykonos with comfortable chairs, a view over the beach, and off course delicious food. Next to Fokos is the beach of Mirsini.

Both these beaches are undeveloped, northern beaches that can be reached only by private boat and car or bike rental. Being north facing, the winds can get very strong and the waves are popular with surfers. Drive through farmland and past one of the two water reservoirs of Mykonos. The beaches are not on all the maps of Mykonos, but can be reached leaving the Ano Mera on the way to Maou, the road is a bit rough but at the end you can discover isolation and solitude.

Ftelia Beach

Ftelia is an isolated paradise during the Mykonos summer madness and as it is not very crowded due to the fact that it is quite windy. This wild, north beach is unpleasant to sun bathers but one of the favorites of wind surfers. Because of the wind, this is also a fairly good place to do some beachcombing; you never know what you might find.

There is plenty of privacy and space to lay your towel but there are no sun beds or umbrellas to rent but there are some taverna’s where you can have something to eat or drink. The beach is accessible by car or bike rental.

If you can do without those things, it is so worth the trip. Even the somewhat bumpy, pot – holed road should not be a deterrent, as you see the view from the road above, looking down on the beautiful beach. Take the primitive footpath and arrive there to find a stretch of sand and small pebbles, which make up this beach that slopes gently into the clear sea.

Enjoy your lunch with off roasted and grill dishes at Kiki’s old tavern, which works only lunchtimes. Parking is limited, but you can park on the road and walk down the hill. There is no bus service available. The beach is accessible by car-bike rental.

Panormos Beach

Far at the right side is a narrow, fine sand stretch of beach with little alcoves scattered along the back side, in the low sand dunes, where you can sometimes find a bit of privacy. That side of the beach is undeveloped, without sun beds and umbrellas and there is a rustic toilet. Nudity is perfectly acceptable here.

If you choose to stay on the left side of the beach near the beach bar- tavern that is located between a large, wild bamboo area and beautiful shade trees, you will find more activity, music, food, drinks and lovely atmosphere. The beach is accessible by car-bike rental, there is no bus service.

Paradise Beach

It is located on the south of the island, 6km from Mykonos Town. It’s the most famous en well known, organized beach of the island, with its crystal water, sandy beach, and known for its special events.

The beach is very easy accessible with its most frequent bus service from Mykonos Town and with its special event shuttle buses. You can also reach the beach by the taxi boat/caique from or returning to Platis Gialos or Ornos Beaches or with car-bike rental. There is also a footpath over the hill leading to Paraga Beach.

The beach offers lifeguard services, taverna with tables on the beach, a restaurant – beach bar with beach service and a café beach bar also with beach service.

Mykonos Camping is just beyond the beach. The beach is accessible by public bus, car-bike rental or by taxi boat/caique from or to Ornos or Platis Gialos Beaches.

There is a beach taverna that provides beach services, a restaurant at the left from the beach, in the middle of the beach is a beach bar that also provides beach service. You will also find nearby a cafeteria-restaurant frequented by the windsurfing crowd, mini market, another taverna and an Italian restaurant. The is beach is accessible by public bus or car-bike rental.
